Hohoke Ake: Nga Otinga Toitu
Digital Installation & Exhibition Finalist, Best Design Awards 2023 This engaging and educational temporary exhibition asked 8–13 year olds to consider, discuss and adopt sustainable practices at home, school, and within their communities. Showcasing emerging sustainable tech from New Zealand – we were quick to realise our own responsibility and need to hikoi the korero (walk the talk): re-positioning walls and using materials from previous exhibitions; graphics were printed to recycled and recyclable substrates and after the exhibition closed a large proportion of graphics, physical interactives and build materials were re-distributed or re-purposed for future and ongoing use. Designed from concept through to installation with visual cohesion across physical and digital exhibition experiences.
